Nikwax Fabric & Leather Proof Spray-On is an easy-to-use water-based waterproofing spray designed to restore the water repellency of textile and leather footwear. It helps reduce water and dirt absorption into the material and can thereby help extend the life of your footwear.
The product is suitable for maintaining various types of outdoor footwear, including shoes with Gore-Tex®, Sympatex®, eVENT®, and other waterproof-breathable membranes.
Restores footwear water repellency
When using footwear, its original water repellency may decrease over time. Nikwax Fabric & Leather Proof Spray-On helps restore the material’s water-repellent properties so that water does not soak into the leather or textile as easily.
Additionally, the treatment helps reduce dirt absorption into the material. This is especially useful for hiking boots and other outdoor footwear that regularly comes into contact with wet ground, rain, and mud.
Suitable for technical membrane footwear
Fabric & Leather Proof is suitable for maintaining footwear with Gore-Tex®, Sympatex®, eVENT®, and other waterproof-breathable membranes. This allows you to restore water repellency even on technical hiking boots.
For best results, footwear should be cleaned with a specialized footwear cleaner before restoring water repellency. Nikwax Footwear Cleaning Gel is suitable for this purpose.
Easy to use
Fabric & Leather Proof Spray-On is applied directly to damp, cleaned footwear. Spray the product evenly onto the surface of the shoe and then allow the shoe to dry completely.
Always follow the instructions on the product packaging before use and application. Properly cleaning footwear before treatment helps prepare the material for restoring water repellency.
