When traveling in distant countries, you often wonder if the tap water is safe to drink. For instance, the World Health Organization (WHO) attributes 80% of all travel-related illnesses to contaminated drinking water. Being stuck in bed with stomach issues is definitely not how you want to spend your trip. As a precaution, it’s always recommended to bring Katadyn Micropur Classic water purification tablets.

How Micropur Classic works

Water purification tablets eliminate harmful drinking water risks like viruses and bacteria, including common intestinal pathogens like E. coli, Salmonella, and Cholera. However, it’s important to note that silver ion tablets do not remove chemical contaminants, sediment, or certain protozoa. To purify water from natural sources, we recommend using Katadyn Micropur Forte water purification tablets, which contain a safe amount of chlorine in addition to silver ions.

How to use water purification tablets

Katadyn Micropur Classic tablets are a fast and effective effervescent water treatment for clean drinking water. One tablet treats one liter of water. Using silver ions, it preserves water for up to 6 months. Designed for purifying tap water.

• Add 1 effervescent water purification tablet per liter of water. Let it sit for 2 hours.

Precautions

• Do not use with other products.
• Causes serious eye irritation. If in eyes: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice/attention.
• If medical advice is needed, have product container or label at hand.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Store in a dry place, protected from light, in the original packaging.
• Toxic to aquatic life with long-lasting effects.
• Avoid release to the environment.
• Dispose of contents/container in accordance with local regulations.
