Omega 3 fatty acids are a dietary supplement that supports normal heart health, brain function, vision, and overall well-being.

Each softgel contains an optimized amount of 180 mg EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and 120 mg DHA (docosahexaenoic acid), supporting brain and heart function and promoting visual acuity. ALA, DHA, and EPA are the most thoroughly researched omega-3 fatty acids, with fish oil being purely sourced from small fish, such as anchovies.

Omega-3 fatty acids play a vital role in human nutrition and physiology, involving three main omega-3 fatty acids: α-linolenic acid (ALA), eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). ALA is found in plants, while DHA and EPA are found in algae and fish. EPA and DHA help maintain normal heart function, with positive effects appearing at 250 mg of EPA and DHA per day. DHA also supports normal brain function and vision, with beneficial effects appearing at 250 mg of DHA per day.

Omega-6 belongs to the unsaturated fatty acids, participating in the production of many hormones. These essential fatty acids, which we must get from food, are found in poultry, eggs, nuts, and hulled sesame seeds.

Omega-9 fatty acids are not essential fatty acids, as the human body can produce them from unsaturated fats. Some omega-9 fatty acids are common components in animal fats and vegetable oils. Although we get these fatty acids from food, it is important to maintain a balance of all fatty acids, which is why taking them as a supplement is recommended.

If the body does not get enough fatty acids, several health problems can arise, such as cardiovascular diseases, allergies, joint inflammation, infertility, obesity, diabetes, fatigue, dry skin, depression, anxiety, and memory problems.
