Effective protection against mosquitoes, ticks, and other pesky insects
In an easy-to-apply spray bottle (not an aerosol)
Active ingredient DEET (30%)
Water-based
Shelf life: up to 3 years from the date of manufacture
Ben’s 30 insect repellent contains 30% DEET (N,N-Diethyl-meta-toluamide), which is considered the most effective insect repellent developed to date. Unlike alcohol-based repellents, this DEET spray is water-based, so less repellent evaporates from your skin. It repels insects like mosquitoes, ticks, deer flies, and other pesky bugs that can spread Lyme disease, Zika virus, West Nile virus, and dengue fever (most of these only abroad). Due to its powerful effect, you only need a very small amount of Ben’s Max, making it ultra-light to carry in your backpack or elsewhere.
How to use Ben’s 30 insect repellent effectively?
Spray small amounts on both clothes and skin, avoiding direct spraying onto the face. The product has a light but pleasant scent, so any memories of intense and unpleasant-smelling repellents will remain just memories with Ben’s 30.
For effective protection against ticks and fleas, also spray the product on shoes, socks, and trousers.
Safe insect repellent depends on proper use
We recommend shaking before use. Remove the protective cap and spray about two pumps into your palm to apply to skin and clothes, keeping the nozzle away from your face. Do not inhale while spraying! Do not spray on wounds, abrasions, or irritated skin. A single application effectively repels mosquitoes for up to 5 hours and ticks for up to 4.5 hours.
Ben’s insect repellent is safe for use on skin. However, there are exceptions, as with any substance or medicine.
Do not use on children under 2 years of age. Apply to skin only once a day. Adults can apply a maximum of 58 sprays and children over 12 years up to 23 sprays per day. For children aged 2-12, a maximum of 9 sprays can be applied per day, and only to the neck, forearms, and legs. Other body parts must be protected with clothing. Do not use the product on children under 1 year old; there are separate special mosquito sprays for them. Do not apply the product to the hands of children under 12. It is recommended to cover any untreated skin with clothing to limit access for biting insects.
