Sandberg® 100W Solar Panel – portable power for hiking and off-grid use

Sandberg® 100W Solar Panel – portable power for hiking and off-grid use

The Sandberg® 100W portable solar panel is a powerful and easy-to-transport solution for generating electricity where there’s no access to the grid. Its foldable design combines high charging power with convenient portability, making it suitable for hiking, camping, road trips, cottages, boats, or home emergency supplies.

The four-part solar panel uses high-efficiency monocrystalline PERC solar cells and can produce up to 100W of power in good sunny conditions. It can charge laptops, portable power stations, power banks, smartphones, tablets, and other USB or DC-powered devices.

The solar panel’s rated power is 100W. Maximum output is achieved in good weather and light conditions when the panel is aimed directly at the sun.

Actual charging power depends on, among other things:

For best results, place the solar panel in an open area where all parts receive uniform direct sunlight. Even partial shading of one section can reduce charging power.

USB-C PD fast charging up to 65W

The solar panel features a USB-C Power Delivery output with up to 65W. Using a suitable USB-C cable and compatible device, you can charge phones, power banks, and many USB-C charging-supported laptops.

Supported USB-C output modes:

5 V / 3 A
9 V / 3 A
12 V / 3 A
15 V / 3 A
20 V / 3.25 A

Maximum USB-C output power is 65W.

The USB-A output supports Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging, allowing you to charge compatible smartphones, power banks, GPS devices, lights, and other USB-powered gear.

Maximum USB-A output power is up to 24W.

Supported outputs:

5 V / 3.4 A
9 V / 2.5 A
12 V / 2 A

DC output for power stations

The included 3-meter DC cable allows you to charge compatible portable power stations with the solar panel.

DC output:

22 V / 4.54 A
Maximum power up to 100 W

Before connecting, ensure the input voltage, connection, and allowed charging power of the device being charged are compatible with the solar panel’s output.

The solar panel consists of four foldable sections. After use, the panel can be folded into a compact size for carrying and storage.

Folded dimensions are approximately:

44.2 × 39.6 × 4 cm

Fully unfolded:

44.2 × 143.7 × 2.2 cm

The panel weighs approximately 2.9 kg.

The foldable design allows for convenient transport in a car, motorhome, or with other camping gear.

Durable ETFE coating and IP67 rating

The solar panel surface is covered with a durable ETFE laminate. ETFE helps protect the solar cells and is well-suited for outdoor use.

The IP67 rating means the solar panel is protected against dust and can withstand temporary exposure to water. The panel is designed for outdoor use, but connection ports and connected electronic devices must be kept dry and used according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

The robust construction makes the panel suitable for repeated use on hikes, camping trips, and off-grid.

The Sandberg® 100W solar panel is suitable for:

The solar panel has no built-in battery. It generates electricity from sunlight and directs it to the connected device. To use energy later, the panel must be connected to a power bank or portable power station.
