Description
Task Force 2215 Hardshell Rain Jacket – why choose it?
This jacket is designed for those who don’t settle for partial protection. Thanks to technical materials and thoughtful design, it’s an excellent choice for hiking, hunting, fishing, and everyday wear in changeable weather. Lightweight and compactly packable – toss it in your bag when the sky darkens.
Task Force 2215 Hardshell Rain Jacket – lightweight, durable, and built for extreme conditions
If you need a jacket that offers maximum protection against rain, wind, and cold, the Task Force 2215 hardshell rain jacket is built for just that. It’s suitable for every season – from mountain hikes to hunting trips and daily movement in a variable climate. The 3-layer construction, taped seams, and 10,000 mm water resistance ensure complete weatherproofing. Breathability keeps the interior dry during active movement.
Maximum weather protection
The durable ripstop fabric is both lightweight and abrasion-resistant. The 3-layer construction combines a tough outer shell, a waterproof TPU membrane, and a soft inner layer, providing protection and comfort.
Water resistance: 10,000 mm water column. Breathability: 5,000 g/m²/24h. Taped seams: keep moisture out even in heavy rain. Waterproof YKK® zippers: extra protection against water droplets.
Functional and lightweight
The jacket weighs approximately 346 g – ideal for taking on a hike or trip. An adjustable hood, elastic cuffs, and practical pockets make it comfortable and versatile.
Two zippered side pockets for essentials. Two inner pockets for documents or a phone. The adjustable hood protects your face from rain and wind. Elastic cuffs help keep your hands dry.
Designed for active movement
Unlike a regular rain jacket, the Task Force 2215 hardshell rain jacket is breathable and comfortable even during fast-paced movement: fast hiking, cycling, hunting, or fishing. The jacket lets body moisture out, reducing the risk of overheating and feeling damp.
Hardshell vs Softshell – a brief comparison
| Feature | Hardshell | Softshell |
|---|---|---|
| Weather protection | 100% waterproof and windproof | Water repellent; may leak in heavy rain, partial wind resistance |
| Breathability | Good, but usually slightly lower than softshell | Very good |
| Warmth | Provides no warmth – you need a separate insulating layer | Provides some warmth thanks to thicker, softer fabric |
| Weight and packability | Lightweight, thin, highly packable | Often heavier and less packable |
| Use | Extreme weather: rain, snow, storm; mountain and winter hikes | Dry or slightly damp weather; active movement; spring-autumn hiking; everyday |
| Hood | Almost always present; often helmet-compatible | Sometimes present; less technical |
| Price | Often more expensive (membrane fabric) | Usually more affordable |
Simple reminder: Hardshell = shield – maximum weather protection. Softshell = warmer, highly breathable mid-layer – comfortable, but not for storms.

Vihmaga kalal olles püsisin lõpuks täiesti kuiv! Jope on kerge ja mugav, ei hakka higistama, aga samas peab tuult ja vett väga hästi. Soovitan soojalt.
Kristi M –
Ostsin selle kevadisteks metsamatkadeks. Väga hea kapuuts ja tõmblukkude veekindlus on tipp-topp. Hind ja kvaliteet on super tasakaalus.
Andres P –
Jope on üllatavalt kerge ja võtab seljakotis vähe ruumi. Väike miinus – värvivalik võiks olla suurem. Aga muidu igati rahul
Mati R –
Kandsin seda tormisel mereäärsel jalutuskäigul – mitte piiskagi ei tulnud läbi. Väga hea hingavus, ei läinud seest niiskeks.
Marje L –
Sobib ideaalselt koeraga vihmas jalutamiseks. Varrukaotsad hoiavad vee eemal ja jope kuivab kiiresti.“
Priit A –
Käin sageli jahil sügisel ja varakevadel. See jope on saanud mu lemmikuks – kerge, vastupidav ja vaikne kangas, mis metsas liigeldes ei kahise.
Ragnar E –
Hind on sellise kvaliteedi kohta väga hea. Kapuuts on piisavalt sügav ja reguleeritav. Ainult taskuid võiks rohkem olla.
Heleri S –
Testisin seda matkal, kus sadas lakkamatult. Tõesti peab vett ja on mugav. Näeb ka stiilne välja, mitte lihtsalt tavaline vihmajope.
Siim T. –
