User manual for heating freeze-dried meals

Enjoy a warm meal anytime, anywhere. Follow these steps.

1. Add water to the meal pack.
   • Open the freeze-dried meal bag.
   • Add cold water up to the fill line inside the bag (check instructions for the specific meal).
   • Stir if necessary and close the zip lock tightly.
2. Prepare the flameless ration heater (FRH).
   • Tear open the FRH bag at the notch.
   • Place the sealed meal bag inside the heating sleeve, directly on top of the heating pad.
3. Activate the heater.
   • Pour 50 ml of water into the FRH bag, up to the fill line at the bottom.
   • Cold water works fine – it triggers the chemical reaction.
4. Heat the meal.
   • Fold down the top edge of the FRH bag to keep the heat in.
   • Place the bag on a flat surface or at an angle so the heater stays under the meal pack.
   • Wait 12–15 minutes for the meal to heat up.
5. Remove the meal and eat.
   • Carefully tear open the FRH bag at the marked spot.
   • Caution: contents are hot.
   • Take out the meal bag and open it. The meal is ready to eat.
6. Dispose of responsibly.
   • Always activate the heater with water before throwing it away.
   • Let all parts cool down completely.
   • Throw the waste in a bin. Don’t leave trash in nature.
